BPI woes part 2

Bank of the Philippine Islands (in our area) has updated its system of doing transactions with its clients. On the brighter side, one can't help appreciating the effort of making everything easier for the customers who are now encouraged to do their transactions via the machines sans the arduous task of filling out forms. HOWEVER, the people at the counter are still stuck to the old ways. Imagine doing two tasks instead of one when you happen to deposit a check and some cash. After lining up and punching your details into the machine, you go to the teller only to be told that you need to make two separate deposits for checks and cash. Whaaaaaaat? That's making the process even longer than the old "pen and paper" type of transaction. Now with the machines to rid us of those tedious tasks of writing on transaction slips, this schmuck is telling me to double the task and that means having to line up all over again. That's just plain crazy. It is such a waste of time and I think before BPI or any business entity for that matter starts doing upgrades, it should first upgrade the skills of its personnel who need to keep up with whatever changes they are trying to implement.
