Ever since I discovered "The Talk" a few months back,I'd been addicted to it every single day. The show, composed of five brilliant and hilarious women, serves as my opening salvo each and every morning before I leave the house to tackle the daily grind. I laugh at the natural feisty humor of Leah Remini and the sharpness of Sara Gilbert. I adore the British accent of Sharon Osborn and her funny punches and I have this weird belief that Julie Cheng sounds like me. I mean, as an active broadcaster myself, I thought having a low voice sounded "oldish" but when I heard Julie Chen's deep but well-modulated voice, I started to embrace my real voice which, I believe, have the same quality as Miss Cheng's. I am now proudly using the natural voice I have instead of trying to speak a pitch higher than normal, which is actually a shame and a strain. Holly Robinson Pete is not only witty and well-informed, but she makes the word gorgeous come to life. So at exactly 8 o'clock a.m., Philippine time, I face the TV set not wanting to miss the opening part wherein the hosts walk in and are greeted by the audience. This, to me, is one of the best parts because I always want to see what they're wearing before they take their places at the table. With my hot coffee, cheese bread, and "The Talk," I greet the day with a good start.
